The main focus of our group concerns the development of Machine Learning methods for the analysis of biological, chemical and medical data. Our research interests include various aspects of supervised- and unsupervised learning like clustering and cluster validation, graphical models, kernel-based algorithms, structured output domains etc. with applications ranging from (gen-/transcript-/prote-)omics to bio-medical image processing to survival analysis.
